We have a busy fall schedule coming up with shows so I wanted to give you a heads up in case you are going to be in the area or perhaps even attending the show. We are doing some new ones as well as revisting old favorites. Read on for the details. And if you have a show that you think I should take a closer look at please let me know. I hope to see you when we are out and about!
I will admit that we originally decided to go to Montreal to indulge my 18 year old son who wanted to visit somewhere he could legally drink and gamble. Montreal certainly fits the bill with one of the highest per capita number of restaurants as well as the largest casino in Canada.
I was excited about going because it supposed to be the closest thing to Paris, France this side of the Atlantic. I was hoping for a European feel, fabulous French pastries and wonderful French food as well as some wonderful historic museums. I wasn’t disappointed on any count.
•So we are about halfway through our stay here in Huntington Beach and just enjoying the beach, the weather and relaxing. We have eaten twice at the Bluewater Grill in Newport Beach which is awesome as well as Ruby’s here on Huntington Beach. Last night we just ordered a pizza here onsite at ate it up on the balcony of our room. Tonight I think we are going to have dinner in the Red Door Lounge and take advantage of their Social Hour prices.
We are proud to announce that The Mulberry Peddler in Kaufman is now carrying Susan’s Soaps & More products. If you aren’t familar with The Mulberry Peddler it is located at 207 W. Mulberry St., just off the square next to Yogurt in Motion.
Denise and Keith have carried our salt glows and sugar scrubs since they first began carrying our line back in 2006. Now for the first time they have branched out to try the larger size scrubs in some of the scents. These are an excellent value and great if you are a repeat scrub customer. It is also perfect timing for keep summer’s bare feet and skin all nice and polished!
I know many of you followed along on my Facebook pages as Jerry and I took our first trip to Europe. I have a few more pictures to add to those and thought I would post them here for those who hadn’t seen the play by play action. And for what’s up next? We will be doing the North Texas Irish Festival next weekend for the first time ever! It happens at Fair Park in Dallas and runs from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. (March 2 – 4).
Next on my list to tell you about is our new soap Lavender & Lime. I just uploaded it to our website and you can find it with our Signature Soaps or listed with the New & Onsale items. It is a fresh, clean scent that is particularly perfect for those who don’t want too strong of a scent.
Susan’s Soaps & More is a definitely Small Business and if you have registered your American Express care HERE then if you spend over $25 with us on Saturday, Nov. 26, American Express will credit you back $25 on your statement.
Another building I like to visit is the Hall of State which this year has a Texas History Exhibit. Here is a gallery of photos I shot inside the Hall of State along with a shot of the entrance. If you haven’t ever checked out this building when you are at the fair you are missing a treat, both in the architecture and the exhibits. Also don’t forget the downstairs area when you visit
We’ve put both our Cinnamon Spice and Orange Clove soaps on sale for $4.00 for the fall Halloween season. In addition the “new” wedge version of these soaps is on sale for just $5.50/wedge
