Back on June 6th I received an email from a Mr. Colin Murphy inquiring about our shampoo bars that he used to purchase from Indigo 1745 here in the Dallas area. He has since moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico was unable to find his favorite Susan’s Soaps shampoo bar. He had even requested that La Montanita, the coop where he shopped stock it, but so far they had not brought it in for him. (At that time they were not carrying any of our products.)

So here goes – to break my writer’s block I am going to give you a list of what has been happening with Susan’s Soaps & More and then a list of happenings to come.
Every year I am simply amazed at how fantastic the HSMG conference is and every year it just gets better and better! I have listed a few of the highlights for me so far.
Jerry and I are leaving Monday and heading up to Colorado for this year’s Handcrafted Soapmaker’s Conference. I have been to at least 4 conferences previously and I always learn lots, find out new things and have a great time!
I am back at my booth in Hemisphere at the Dallas WTC for the February Mini Market. I decided to make a commitment to spend more time up at Hemisphere, since rent is due every month, not just during market times. After all, I can ride in with my hubby and work on my laptop when things are slow.
Those of you who were following our soap scent development saga might remember talk of a Lemon Zest scent. Well here it is and it’s available now on the website: Lemon Zest Soap . It is lively, lemon scent that so far has been gotten very good feedback.
Susan’s Soaps & More will be closed from Thursday, December 24, Christmas Eve until Monday, December 28th. We will also be closed for New Year’s from Thursday, December 31, New Year’s Eve until Monday, January 4th.
Creating A New Soap Scent – Day 7
My bookclub had it’s annual Christmas meeting last night with lots of fun, food and laughter. I asked them if they would mind giving a critique of two new soap scents that we have been working on. They graciously agreed.
